1Which crops do we contract?
We contract cowpeas, velvet beans, lablab, sunn hemp, sesame, sorghum, pearl millet and groundnuts.
2What are the buying prices from the farmers?
Prices vary by season, and during contracting we use the previous season's price as our benchmark.
3How are farmers paid?
Farmers are typically paid in cash and/or by bank transfer in USD or equivalent local currency rates.
4When do we start contracting?
The contracting season begins on September 1st and runs through October 31st.
5What is required to participate in the grower scheme?
A smallholder farmer should organize with 20 smallholder farmers to jointly cover 20 hectares, with each farmer contributing approximately 1 hectare.
6Are there any KYC requirements?
Yes. Farmers are required to provide national identity documents and residential details.
7Do we sign contracts?
Yes. Green Culture enters into contractual agreements with farmers for its outgrower scheme.
8Do you offer agronomic support?
Yes. We offer agronomic support and ongoing field guidance throughout the production cycle.
9Are your off-taker prices guaranteed?
Yes. Off-taker prices are guaranteed through the contract.
